Tabla Course
Feel the rhythm, find your beat
The tabla is one of the most important percussion instruments in Indian classical music and beyond. With its rich tones and intricate rhythms, it forms the heartbeat of countless styles- from classical and devotional music to folk and modern fusion. Learning tabla not only develops a strong sense of rhythm but also improves coordination, concentration, and musical expression.
What You Will Learn
- Basic hand positions, strokes (bols), and playing posture
- Introduction to taal (rhythmic cycles) such as teen taal, dadra, and keherwa
- Practicing simple compositions (kayda, rela, tukra)
- Playing theka (basic rhythm patterns) with clarity and control
- Developing rhythm awareness through clapping, counting, and recitation
- Accompanying vocal and instrumental music
- Introduction to improvisation and solo playing
Who Can Join?
This course is suitable for children and adults, whether you are a complete beginner or already familiar with rhythm. No prior experience is required, just curiosity and enthusiasm!
Course Fees
At Tanpura Music School, we keep our fee structure simple, transparent, and flexible so students can choose the learning method that suits them best. Each month includes four lessons (one lesson per week).
Online Classes
- 15 Euro per class
- Four classes per month: 60 Euro
In-Person (Onsite) Classes
- 20 Euro per class
- Four classes per month: 80 Euro
Hybrid (Blended Learning)
- Two online classes (30 Euro) + two onsite classes (40 Euro)
- Total: 70 Euro per month
