Apurba Biswas is a trained Indian classical vocalist and the Founder and Director of Tanpura Music School, Berlin. He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Indian Classical Vocal Music from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata, India, awarded under the prestigious ICCR Scholarship.
With years of experience teaching students in Germany and internationally, Apurba blends the depth of the guru–shishya tradition with modern, student-friendly methods. His approach supports learners from Indian, Bangladeshi, and diverse cultural backgrounds, making classical music accessible across borders.
At Tanpura Music School, he teaches Indian classical vocal music and harmonium, and leads the school’s academic curriculum, lesson structure, and cultural programs. His teaching emphasizes disciplined practice, attentive listening, and expressive depth, helping students build strong musical foundations.
Beyond technical training, Apurba views music as a path to inner balance, cultural connection, and personal well-being. He encourages students worldwide to experience music not only as an art form, but also as a lifelong source of mindfulness, emotional expression, and harmony.
